Description:
The energy renovation project of Arquitectura Ambiental offers a superior energy performance, comfort and health of the spaces compared with a conventional construction.
In order to achieve an efficient constructive envelope that minimizes energy loss and achieve high economic savings, it has been taken the decision of optimizing the thickness of the thermal insulation of roofs, walls, party walls and floor in contact with the ground. In addition, it has been used wooden fenestration with very low thermal transmittance.
The careful selection of natural and local materials includes sheep wool thermal insulation for roof and facades; natural interior paint with no VOC (volatile organic compounds) and FSC certified wood (Forest Stewardship Council), among others.
The project has a high-efficient aerothermy system for under floor heating, cooling and hot water, and a heat recovery unit with an efficiency of 98 %. The faucets, bathroom fittings, and lamps are very low consumption.
The project achieves an A energy qualification.
